Should abortions be legal?

In ancient times the woman who got pregnant, did not have to debate between to abort or not, because it did not exist. Nowadays the situation has changed, the abortion exists!

The "Dclaration of Human Rights", says that you can not force a person to do something that she doesen't want, so how can people ask to a woman to have a baby if their life will be in risk or the future life will get imposible to handel?

We think abortion should be legal around the world because in case of rape, illnesses of the baby or even if the parents economic situation is horrible, they can have the option to abort.
A baby is a hard change in a human life and if the mother is not preparated to have it or she is minor, if we forbide her to abort we can produce a strong effect on her.

In case of a minor under 13 we can understand that the abortion is parents decision, but maybe in the future this baby could cause a negative effect on the mother, and we can't allow this.

To sum up, we want to say to the people who thinks that abortion is killing, that the abortion is do it during the 12 fisrt weeks, and the "babyÇ" is only a hard ful of cels.

GRANADA

Granada is a beautiful city located in south of Spain. Granada it’s characterized by one big monument, the Alhambra. Beside that, it has incredible beaches too, and many places to go and visit. Due to its localization, Granada has a very hot climate and in summer sometimes it’s hard to go out.

Monuments of Granada:

The three most important and beautiful monuments of Granada are:

-The neighbourhood Albacín. The neighbourhood Albacín is a neighbourhood with narrow streets and typical houses with beauty and charm, this neighbourhood is preserved for over a thousand years ago.

 - The Alhambra. The Alhambra is the world's most spectacular Moorish monument ofSpain and it’s symbol of Granada too. In its interior we can find a place of rest and extensive gardens, called Nazari Palaces. Alhambra was the heart and the settlement of the sultans.

- The Cathedral of Granada. The Cathedral of Granada or the Cathedral of the Incarnation is the cathedral situated in the city centre. It is a very beautiful place and cultural centre of the city. Its façade is Renaissance.

Parque Federico Garcia Lorca

The park Federico Garcia Lorca, it’s a public park built in honour to the poet Federico Garcia Lorca. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the city, there you can have a walk,listen to the birds or just have a Little nap. During the day the park is open, but it closes at night.

Jardines del Triunfo

The Jardines del Triunfo in Granada was a cemetery when Arabic people were in Granada, around the s. XIII. This place was a Plaza de Toros too. In the Garden wecan find a magnificent fountain with a game of lights and water during the night. A typical monument we can see here is a sculpture of the Virgen del Triunfo

Semana Santa.

In March or April, in this city and in all Andalusia, native people celebrate the Semana Santa, a religious festival. In this festival all the brotherhood go to a religious procession where they show to the people their Saints and Virgins.

Report:

The purpose of this report is to make recomendatioms to improve customers' sensory experience of my local café "Dreamts".
On the one hand, the first impression you see is an illuminated and warm place. The café is a big place and it smells very well. On the other hand, I find unconfortable all these windous acting like walls so people from the street can see you eating and drinking.
Some costomers have complained about the music. If the music were quieter the atmosfhere of the local would be more pleasen.
In conclusion, I belive therse things could benefice surroundings of the local café.

Maybe I don’t have a favourite city in the world but I have a favourite place, and this place is La Fosca.

La Fosca belongs to Palamós a big village of la costa brava, in catalonia. It is a kind of village where only live 3 familys in winter because is a little summer place it has this name because it has a black rock who divide the beach in two parts.

Hear we can do a lot of things, but the best thing you can do is relax of the city life. You can enjoy the beautifull beach,  sunbathe, walk around the little and paradisic coves, like Cove S’Alguer or the Furadada Rock… There are a lot of activities to do, go in caiac, rent a boat, do snorkeling, surf… The thing that all children love, is go to Basics, Basics are rocks with diferent heights since 4 meters, until 11 meters where you can jump to the water, is a bit dangerous, but is so funny. If you want a more cultural tourism,in La Fosca you can visit an old castle over the rocks or  you can go to Palamós, and see fishing museum or walk arround the historic center of the village and if you want party you can go at night to platja d’aro.

I love this place, it has a lot of privacity and calm, you can enjoy a lot of the calm of the see, is not a very know place and it makes this special. The beach and the coves are so beautifull,there are incredible sunsets and I think that is an amazing place.

Fast food

The purpose of this report is to look if is good and healthy eat fast food every week or not.

We found fast food a type of food that is easy and fast to eat. For example; in ten minutes you can dinner a hamburger with potatoes and coke. And also is cheaper than other type of food that can be healthier.

But this food isn’t good for healthy and this is because this type of food is very grassy and have many calories and fats.

This means that you can eat fast food but no every week.

To sum up, I think that you can go to fast food restaurants one or  two times at month but you can’t abuse to go there. 

My favourite city: London

My favourite city is London and this city it’s a capital of UK.

I love London because is like another world and people had another “roll”, and this is in partly due to in this city was born the punk movement.

Nowadays this style it keeps in areas such as Camden.
Groups like The Who, Sex Pistols and The Police were born in the streets of London.

London is famous for his musicals, for his Chinese neighbourhood and his architecture, like London Eye, the Big Ben…

This city had very important museums: National Gallery, British Museum or Natural History Museum.

Should marihuana be legal for medicinal purposes?

Nowadays the marijuana is illegal due to police say that it is bad. Scientists have found that has many benefits so much people want to legalize. However we agree.

Many people who are sick agree that legalize marijuana. Normally, the patients of cancer suffer due to the cancer therapy is very aggressive.
In other countries, like Jamaica, have helped to calm the horrible symptoms of chemotherapy.

Marijuana acts like a natural sedative therefore it is better than simptetic medicines. These are during the time negatives there are many secondary effects.

In conclusion, marijuana should be legal for people who are sick. 

Fashion and Stereotypes

The aim of this report is to inform about some disadvantages of the fashion and the stereotypes in the world, because they can affect to people specially teenagers.
We found that most of the models in the world are very slim and very tall. Some teenagers are very influenced of this antinatural stereotypes, and they are some exagerated stereotypes that make some young girls and boys feel bad. Nowadays, some models are hating too this stereotypes, for example Cara Delavigne, a Victoria's Secret model, has left catwalks because they produced that she hated her body and make she feel bad. Teenagers want to be like models, but do you really want to be like a person who hates whose body because her work?
In conclusion, I think that we have to accept who we are. Actually these stereotypes can produce serious diseases like anorexia or bulimia. Stereotypes are labels, and be diferent is more interesting than be like stupid labels.

Should students listen to music on the study holl?

Even though most people disagree with the idea of listening to music at study holl, we think that music helps to the concentration of students.

One of the benefits of listening to music is that you can keep out the sounds that could distract you and isolate yourself to get more focus.

Even though we think that listening to music can help, we also admit that the music with lyrics can distract you because as more lyrics has the songs it is more probable to focus on lyrics. That is why we recommend listening to classic music or non-lyrics music instead rock or pop.

Another benefit is that the melody can make it easier to memorize the theory that you are studying.

As a conclusion we say that music is god for the study holl.

Should female construction workers earn the same wages as males?

Nowadays, men are paid more money than women in the construction area. Maybe it is because men seem to fit more the job, but it's fair to say that us women have rights too.

On the one hand men are more physically capable to do a job like that because they generally are stronger, so it's easier for them to get the work done and the productivity may be higher than if they were women.

But I think they still should be paid the same. Both men and women are people, and actually, a woman can be as strong as a man or even stronger. It's not fair at all this wage gap when they are doing exactly the same job.

And the reason that this difference exists, it's not exclusively because of men's physical condition. You can find this difference in every other job. In average, women are paid approximately 25% less than men, mostly in the US. One of the reasons why women are paid less is the possibility that they can take the maternity leave. Unlike men, women can get pregnant, so they usually take the maternity leave for a few months. In this period of time, decades ago, the woman would be fired. Nowadays, the woman can take off her job for a few months while still receiving her salary.

Society has evolved in that aspect, but women are still being paid less for reasons they can't avoid, like being able to get pregnant or being physically weaker. So society is still sexist, even though not as sexist as it used to be, so we can have hope that it'll change for the better.

I'm doing my presentation about Naples, a city in Italy I visited on a schooltrip a few years ago. We stayed for a day but I could contemplate how beautiful the city really is.

Naples is located in Italy, in the province of Campania, in the Gulf of Naples.

Now I'm going to talk about some facts about the city.
It's one of the largest municipalities in the country. Specifically 120 km2.
It was the most bombed italian during World War II, where more than 20.000 people died and the primary target was the Port of Naples.
It's one of the most catholic cities in the world, with 448 churches in it.
It has the largest historic city centre in Europe, enclosing 27 centuries of history.
Pizza was invented here in 1830.

Naples has a lot of historical buildings. The most prominent ones are the medieval, renaissence and baroque. The building in the right photo is baroque and the castle on the left is medieval. It's a pic I took of Castle Nuovo, located in the centre in front of the city hall.
There was a residence for the loyalty, but when Charles I was reigning he ordered its building in 1279 when the capital was moved to Naples. Nowadays the castle is one of the main architectural landmarks of the city and it's open to the public so tourists can visit it.

These are some more of the pics I took. This is the main square of the city, called Piazza del Plebiscito, and it's one of the first places I visited, just before going to Umberto I Gallery, which is a gallery that it is nearby and it's beautiful to see. Piazza del Plebiscito is so big and impressive in real life. Just there, it's San Francisco di Paola, a church. In front of it there's the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace it's a museum, a palace and now a historical tourist destination. It was one of the four residences of the Bourbon Kings during the kingdom of two Sicilies.

To end the presentation, this is the Bay of Naples. It's inmensely big as it takes up most of the Gulf of Naples. We can clearly see the Vesuvius from here, the famous volcano that killed so many people in Pompeii in 79 AD. The most vibrant part of the city is the one near the port.

My favorite city

I will talk about Santa Cruz de la Sierra, maybe it isn’t the most tourists the city to go but it’s where I was born and raised and that’s why it is my favorite city in the world.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is the largest city and economic engine of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, municipal section of the Department of Santa Cruz.

It is a pretty quiet town endowed with restaurants, parks, museums, squares and malls where you can spend time with friends or family.

Moreover, the culture of the city is characterized by a typical dance called Taquirari and the quite admired poetry in which outlines a poet called Camba calucha who honors the tradition of the city with each of his verses.

Despite all the attractions that the city may have, the most important for me is the fact that this is where my family and childhood friends are. 

Street art

The aim of this composition is to raise awareness about that Street art isn't something bad!

Most people think that those kind of wrongful acts are bad for the society, but they are wrong. The Street Art is a way that artist are able to have a canvas on which to create true masterpieces that are as worthy of being in a museum as any other expressions of art.

It is where Street artists can be themselves saying what they think without fear of being judged for who they are or where they come from. They are artists who open their hearts and express their pain or joy through painting on public places.

they use street art as a way of expression, that can be about culture, beliefs, politics, love, war...etc. there's to many things that they can be able to express with Street art and in my opinion it's unfair that there is still people who is against this form of expression, they speak of freedom but they are banning these artists to express themselves through their art form.

So we can help the street art to be more appreciated for what it is ... an art form! By getting rid of laws forbidding street art! Once they are forbidden, street artists can display their art with no hassle, and creating street art police to ensure that there isn't some offensive street art.

A report

The purpose of this report are the reasons to remove the Bull of
the festivities.
In the last days, there has been talk about if the bull is
mistreated or not in the festivities, for instance in “El Toro de la
Vega”, where the bull ends up dying.
I think, should be finished any festivities where this involves a
bull, because the end always is the same.
The bull is an animal like any other and we must respect, we
have to think, and realize that an animal can’t suffer that way.
We should put ourselves in their situation to realize what they
suffer. Many people say that the only Bull serves to die, that is
because they do not have empathy with other living beings.
Other reason is that people also risk their lives, because they
don’t realize the danger, in fact they have been many deaths. But
that depends on each person, because no one obliges them to
do so.
In conclusion, must end with all the festivities where there are
bulls, for the good of bulls, for the good of people, for the good
of society.

GLOBAL WARMING

The purpose of this report is to discuss the global warming. The global warming refers to climate change as a result of greenhouse gases. These greenhouse gases are causing the greenhouse effect, which is the accumulation of thermal radiation that is absorbed by gases. This is increasing the temperature of our planet. This is a big problem.

For example, the levels of the sea have risen through the world. Experts say that if the situation doesn’t change, the Arctic will be unfreezed and de-iced by September 2037.

This is because heat brought about the greenhouse effect is causing the melting of the polar ice caps. Some of the greenhouse gases like methane and CFCs are causing the slow destruction of the ozone layer. This is a problem because this way the ultraviolet radiation can go more easily through the atmosphere.

As a result of all this, we’re slowly destroying our planet.

In conclusion, seeing that we can still try to help, we should use more electric cars or cycle more, use renewable power and eco-friendly products. Some people think it is still not a problem because it is not as relevant as it was a few years ago, but it is a serious issue and we all have to be conscious of that.

Un mínim de dos exàmens al trimestre (proves de gramàtica, vocabulari, comprensió lectora i producció escrita), 50%

Writings (un mínim de dos per trimestre) 20%

Deures i actitud, 10%.

Les notes de les classes de desdoblament (1 hora setmanal; pensat per treballar especialment la preparació per a les PAU), equivalen a un 20% de la nota global del trimestre.

·         La nota final del curs sortirà de la mitja percentual dels tres trimestres:

·         1r trimestre= 20%

·         2n trimestre= 30%

·         3r trimestre= 50%

·         Donat però, que es tracta d´una matèria acumulativa, el tercer trimestre s´ha d´aprovar com a mínim amb una nota de 4 per tal de poder calcular la final en base als percentatges 20/30/50%. Si en el darrer trimestre, on es concentra l´acumulació conceptual de la matèria,  no s´obté una nota mitja de 4, aleshores l´alumne queda suspès de tot el curs i ha d´anar a

     l´examen de setembre de tota la matèria.

ALTRES FACTORS (actitud, assistència...)

El 10 % de la nota és per treball a classe i fer els deures (participació) Es calcularà en totes les avaluacions des del primer dia de curs. Es valorarà positivament l’ús de la llengua estrangera a la classe. L´ actitud positiva i la participació oral a classe incrementa la nota. Així mateix l´ actitud negativa pot descomptar fins a un 10% de la nota de cada trimestre. Tant l'actitud positiva com la negativa es tindran en compte a l'hora d'arrodonir la nota final de cada trimestre.

·         Indispensable un 80% d’assistència a classe. Cada falta injustificada descompta un 0.25% de la nota global del trimestre.

DEURES D'ESTIU

Els deures d'estiu de 1r Bat. que la professora hagi consideriat OBLIGATORIS per a alguns alumnes (dossier preparat per la professora, llibre de vacances o llibre de lectura), que han de lliurar-se durant les dues primeres setmanes del nou curs, poden augmentar la nota de la primera avaluació fins a un punt. La no presentació dels deures d'estiu obligatoris comporta un descompte de -1 punt sobre la nota final del primer trimestre. Els alumnes que es presentin a la prova de recuperació de setembre, han de lliurar-los el mateix dia de l'examen.

RECUPERACIONS

Els alumnes de 2n de Bat  pendents d’anglès de 1r tenen la possibilitat de recuperar el curs anterior aprovant segon de Batxillerat.

REPORT: THE PRICE OF GAMES

The aim of this report is to investigate why the videogames in PlayStation are more expensive than computer.

I found that the game price can be divided in different parts: The shop where we buy the game, developing cost, hardware license, marketing cost and publisher profits. If we buy a PlayStation game we are paying all of this.

Searching about the computer game price I discovered that the price division didn't have the shop profits and the pubisher profits. Why? Because when we buy a computer game we are not going to a shop, we buy it online. And there is no publisher profits because in PC there is no publishers.

In conclusion, this information means that a PC game is about 35% cheaper than a PlayStation game. I recomend to buy games in PC because you will save more money.
